talent show fun

Analeah sang a russian folk song, in russian, while David played.
Hannah sang "Abide with me" while Analeah played piano.

David and some of his buddies dressed up "ZZ Top"-esque and layed "Sharp Dressed man" and then an original blues song about our bishop, called "The BO blues" (bishop Ostraff)--which David wrote. You can see some kids' heads, but the entire primary was down in front of the stage (about 95 kids) in a HUGE mosh pit! It was so much fun!

Hannah again--same friend with the dark camera as the soccer pics...but at least we have pics!

Comentary between songs...dedicating their performance...

THe talent show was at the end of Sept...a church talent night that started out with primary and ended with everyone beign involved. It was the best talent show I've ever been too...I think becasue they required (well pretty much threatened with your life) all groups (EQ, YM, RS YW etc) to have at least one act from the leaders--so poeple who would normally sit back were up on stage--and no one took themselves very seriously.
David also did a "wind chime choir" act with the YM presidency--and then the EQ strong armed these guys into the band thing. I was in a short skit where the RS pres had a very serious meeting, we debated our decision, pondered prayfully the best course, asked the VTers what they thought, debated how we could encourage the sisters to develop their spirituallity, who had the longest lineage of matriarchal pioneers, called the compassionate service leader, emailed the bishop, and decided, finally!, to have brownies and ice cream at the next enrichment night. Silly and short. (We do repeat perfomances by special request!)
