Greenfield Village

So the Reynoso family and ours went to Greenfield Village last weekend. The weather was a little spotty but the kids didn't mind.

The village was decorated for Halloween and very festive feeling!

As we walked in, the historic working steam engine blew it's whistle and a cloud of steam erupted, drifting over us, and their 3 yo boy thought he had died and gone to heaven-- then the train pulled away with it's load. So we walked, he wasn't as keen on that. :)

Besides the train, there are Omnibuses pulled by horses, Model T Fords and a steam powered ferry to ride. Though they didn't let David drive...

One of the warmer spots in the park, besides the glass-blowing shop (awesome place!) was the antique Carousel. Here are Jakob and Becca.

Another favorite was Firestone Farm, with it's chickens, turkey, pigs, goats, sheep, cows and cats. The kids fed the animals with corn from the corn crib, and we took some cool family pics that will be going out as Christmas cards (so not here!).

Favorite memories: Steam engine taking off, the cute sheep, the ugly turkey, the glass shop, the sudden downpour, turkey sandwiches with jalepenos, the carousel wristbands, jumping in the model T, the gift shop.
